EFCC Talks Tough Against Illegal Oil Dealers As DSS Hands Over Four Suspects To Anti-graft Agency

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has assured that it would ensure that illegal dealers in petroleum products are thoroughly investigated and brought to book.

The commission, through Mark Akase stated this on December 16, when he received four suspected illegal dealers in petroleum products and a truck laden with suspected adulterated Automotive Gas Oil from operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS for further investigation.

A statement issued on Monday evening by EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said the DSS arrested the suspects at Ring Road, Benin City following actionable intelligence with adulterated Automotive Gas Oil concealed in cellophane bags.

Uwujaren said the suspects are Muhammed Musa, 30; Bafa Usman, 25; Muktar Muhammed, 26; and Adamu Ahmed 22.
